Sin City Woodworkers

Follow the trail of sawdust to our next meeting...

Sin City Woodworkers, a Vegas valley social and networking group committed to serious (and not so serious!) woodworking discussions, meet on the third Wednesday of each month to share everything from techniques and ideas to information about local suppliers and much more. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 19 at 7:00 when Jeanette Anderson of Watts Up Electric will share some tips and shed some light on some of the most common questions many woodworkers have about upgrading their shop.
Perhaps you're considering adding in some upgraded electrical service in your garage. Or maybe you're interested in adding a 220 power line in your workshop? Or replacing a switch on a broken tool? How about adding an extra duplex by coming off an existing box? Jeanette’s years as an electrician, as well as a Jill-of-all-trades, will prove invaluable as she shares some tips and tricks for getting your shop and tools in shape.
Simple tool repair is another area that puzzles most woodworkers - from changing a power cord, to rewiring a dust collector - bring your questions and hit Jeanette up with your concerns.
This meeting will be held at Studio: Wood It Is!, 2267 West Gowan, unit 106 in North Las Vegas. As always, the public is welcome to attend the meeting, so members - please feel free to bring a guest along. But remember that there are a limited number of chairs in the woodshop. Attendees might want to bring a folding chair if they wish to sit during the meeting. If you have questions or need directions, call the studio at 631-1870.
